About This Course

Virtual machines are the basis of Microsoft Azure and provide support for the platform’s implementation of IaaS. It is important to be able to deploy all types of virtual machines in your environment both from the Azure Portal and using Azure PowerShell. Once you have deployed your virtual machines there are basic configuration options to consider such as IP addressing, availability, scalability, and security. Also, you must know what types of disks to use for the operating system, data, and general storage. Azure provides several tools to manage the virtual machine lifecycle, so that you can monitor virtual machines on a day to day basis.


Learners should a general understanding of cloud computing including services and usage models.
